About Steven Bonner

Bottom line, I am my best when helping others live full and meaningful lives. I am passionate about coaching leaders to invest in themselves, personally, relationally, and vocationally. I am a firm believer that the most selfless thing one can do for others, is take care of themselves. When we do, we are better positioned to serve others, at home and at work. This foundation is theoretically informed by Family Systems Theory, where differentiation of self is important for leading a healthy life. My work as an executive coach is informed by my eclectic background, which started as a Chinook Flight Engineer in the U.S. Army. There I learned the basic tenets of leadership, sacrifice, and service which became the grist for my work in sales, ministry, academics, and now coaching. Over the years I have: Conducted, presented, and published research on psycho-social development (nationally & internationally); Served as President of a national non-profit & increased membership by 26%; As a department chair and associate dean, I increased department retention by 22% & increased number of majors by 40% over 4 years, wrote and secured 2 significant grants that led to the development of new programs. Fundamentally, if a leader is not well differentiated their ability to lead will be diminished. My practice utilizes my own E.D.G.E. framework, grounded in systems theory, that empowers leaders to excel by leveraging differentiated leadership to drive efficiency.
