About Steven Broadley

Currently acting as both Scientific Coordinator and Principal Scientist for anticancer drug profiling at Oncolead GmbH & Co. KG. Most of my time is spent on Project Coordination/Management as well as planning/designing smaller R&D programs, which I then delegate to my talented team. Still, whenever possible I like to have some hands-on time in the lab, be it developing and testing new processes or actively participating in running projects. Previously a postdoctoral researcher in Immunology at the Institute for Systemic Inflammation Research of the University of Lübeck, focussing on innate and adaptive immune responses following systemic bacterial infections. Winner of the Hugo-Schottmüller-Prize of the German Sepsis Society 2017 and acting Junior Group Leader funded by the Junior-Grant of the University of Lübeck (2018-2019). I finished my PhD with the Title „Immune factors guiding Listeria monocytogenes infection“ in February 2016 at the TU Munich. Beforehand I completed both my B.sc. and M.sc."Molecular Biotechnology" at the TU Munich with interim research rotations at the University of Zürich and the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. Highly experienced in cell culture procedures, high throughput screening approaches, oncological drug testing, as well as small animal models, in vivo infection-models, intravital Imaging (multiphoton-microscopy), flow cytometry (with and without cell sorting), and microbiological techniques.
