About Steven Cain

In the approximate 20 years that I worked with my father in the roofing, siding, decking and general remodeling business, I learned how to do just about everything there is to be done on a home. With a four-year stint as a Lumber Department assistant manager at a Chase Pitkin Home Improvement store, I learned how to use that knowledge to help others. Both homeowners as well as young teenage fellow employees. During those same four years, I learned a lot about retail (of that time 92-96) and a bit of management skills. When I had reached an age that I thought would be a good time to cut down on the physical demands of the trades, I was lucky enough to land a job as an "On Site Maintenance Manager" for a Condominium complex for seventeen years. I thought I'd be there till I was too old to work anymore, but "man makes plans and God laughs". I searched for something new, and it took a while to find. Landed my newest career at a Lowes Home Improvement Store. Started as a lumber department associate and after approximately three months, was given the position of Department Supervisor of the plumbing and electrical departments. How things have changed since my days at Chase Pitkin. Just as I've done in my personal life, I do with my professional life. Work hard, listen and learn, adapt to the changes and then excel. Almost three years was enough for me, through the Covid-19 pandemic, back in the retail business. Now I'm thankfully back working property maintenance for a great Property Management company.
