I am a graduate of the Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technology program at Lambton College in Sarnia. While in this program I developed a solid working understanding of process control systems, Instrumentation calibration techniques and the engineering principles required for the development, installation and maintenance of control systems. During my year at Hamilton Specialties Bar (2007) Inc as an I&C Technician, I have continued to develop my skills and understanding of the Instrumentation field. I have an understanding of steel production and improved my trouble shooting and problem-solving skills. I have recommended and implemented changes to control schemes to improve process control efficiency and departmental communication methods to improve information transfer to management. Currently I am working at ArcelorMittal Dofasco as an Instrumentation & Control Technician. I have further developed my skills in the area of instrumentation, and have gained additional experience with configuring and maintaining flow control devices (valves, actuators, and regulators). Additionally, I have obtained my IMT Gas Technician certification. Using my IMT certification, I perform maintenance and troubleshooting on a wide array of industrial burner systems.
