I am an experienced executive who specialises in corporate leadership of commercialisation activities within complex research environments. My work supports the activities of research teams to expand the reach and impact of their work to achieve lasting benefits for society. As a scientist with postgraduate business qualifications and a 25-year track record in research commercialisation, I combine deep knowledge and expert navigation of complex research environments with the talent to see the 'right deal' and the ability to achieve it the 'right way'. My experience encompasses the full range of knowledge commercialisation, including strategy, policy formulation, and the relationship between the two, stakeholder/partner engagement, team leadership, motivation, and mentoring, and knowledge transfer through consultancy, commercial research, intellectual property management, licensing, and startup ventures.
