As the Head Secondary School Counselor at the British International School of Chicago (BISC) since December 2022, I spearhead the mental health and academic support initiatives for a multicultural student body. BISC is recognized as a leading K-12 institution, acclaimed for its adherence to the International Primary Curriculum, the National Curriculum of England, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. This prestigious school is celebrated for its excellence within the Illinois educational landscape. With a robust background in clinical psychology, accentuated by PsyD training, and over five years of dedicated service in educational settings, my professional journey is anchored in fostering the holistic development of students. My expertise lies in designing and executing strategic interventions to bolster executive functioning, social-emotional learning, and academic achievement. My approach is collaborative, working closely with educators, families, and external partners to tailor support plans that resonate with the unique aspirations and challenges of each student. My role extends beyond traditional counseling to include conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, leading both individual and group therapy sessions, and advancing mental health literacy through targeted professional development initiatives.
