About Steven Crihfield

Greetings! I currently work as a New Product Development Engineer making sure new, emerging devices, mostly in the medical and military sectors, make it to the customer with the best quality possible. In doing so, I develop manufacturing processes at all steps, starting from determining the feasibility of projects by ensuring that a project is realistic using metal injection molding, all the way until the product is in full production, where I then help with continued improvement of the product. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida. During my time at UCF, I learned the principal subjects of Mechanical Engineering, as well as being familiarized with Computer-Aided Design (CAD). I used the knowledge I learned in CAD to successfully get a professional certificate in SolidWorks (CSWP) and use the program daily in my current position. In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar, going to the beach with family and friends, and spending time as a cat dad. Some of my interests are 3D printing, computers, and emerging technologies.
