About Steven Hernandez

I've worked for the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office since 1998. I was a Field Training Officer for five years. I was a member of the Sheriff's Emergency Response Team for ten years. I was an instructor at our academy for several years teaching Crimes In Progress. I worked as a supervisor in the jails for five years then transferred back to patrol. I was a patrol supervisor for five years when I transferred to Valley Medical Center where I worked as the Assistant Director of Protective Services for two years. I was promoted to lieutenant and assigned as the Assistant Division Commander of our Special Operations Unit. After several years I was reassigned to the Court Security Division as the Assistant Division Commander. I was recently transferred to our Investigations Division.
