About Steven Kass

Steve has 30+ years of leadership experience in professional services. As the CEO of Rothstein Kass, Steve implemented corporate strategy and championed the organizational culture to provide core values, guiding principles, business purpose, diversity and a women’s initiative. As a result of Steve’s leadership, Rothstein Kass was named as one of the FORTUNE 100 best companies to work for in the United States and the best accounting firm within the Hedge Fund Industry. During Steve’s tenure as CEO, Rothstein Kass grew organically from in 2005, to in 2014, to become the 20th largest accounting firm in the United States. In 2014, Steve was instrumentally involved in the negotiation of the sale of Rothstein Kass to KPMG. Steve joined KPMG as a senior partner and lead of the alternative investment globalization initiative. Post-merger, Steve was involved with the integration and assimilation of Rothstein Kass into KPMG. Additionally, he was involved in new business development for the firm. Steve is currently a independent director of StoneX and Peapack Gladstone Bank. He is a member of National Association of Corporate Directors, American College of Corporate Directors, Association of Audit Committee Members and KPMG Audit Committee Institute.
