About Steven Kim

Two-term High School Student Body President and an experienced leader. One of my most cherished accomplishments was spearheading the first-ever Junior Late Night event for our student body. My belief in the power of continuous relationship-building and open communication not only brought this event to life but also sparked the creation of other new school events that were not done in the past. My core values revolve around consistency, cooperation, teamwork, and effective communication, forming the foundation of my approach to leadership and collaboration. I possess the unique ability to effortlessly connect with people of all ages, forging strong relationships and earning trust effortlessly. I make communication a vibrant and welcoming experience, encouraging people to engage in meaningful conversations about shared passions. Collaboration is an intrinsic part of my personality, and I actively seek out collaborations for ongoing events within our school community. Many have described me as an approachable and affable individual, qualities I hold in high regard. I didn’t just serve within the confines of my school; I also actively reached out to marginalized communities in Korea. It was a great honor to bring together 40 fellow students to support the emotional and social needs of marginalized elderly individuals who require temporary family connections. Additionally, my roles as the Medical Society President, my two-year tenure as the Badminton Varsity Captain, and my position as the President of Nanoom Korea Youth have contributed significantly to my comprehensive understanding of the importance of teamwork and community outreach in our society. In addition to my leadership roles, I am a dedicated Crossfitter who undertook a transformative journey to shed 20 kilograms of weight. This experience instilled in me a deep sense of endurance and emphasized the significance of perseverance when striving toward a goal. I thrive on the opportunity to connect with new people and am enthusiastic about engaging with diverse communities, both within and outside our school. My passion for embracing novel experiences was sparked during my CrossFit journey, and I continue to embrace challenges with enthusiasm.
