Steve has worked for nearly 30 years in infrastructure finance, investment banking and the credit markets. He is currently an independent consultant serving the alternative energy finance space at his firm, First Infrastructure. Since the early ‘90’s he has served in a series of progressively more senior positions at major participants in the financial guaranty industry, culminating in his work since as a co-founder of the triple-A rated company, CIFG. At CIFG, Mr. Klein served as head of Global Infrastructure and governmental finance as well as Investor Development. Prior to his tenure at CIFG, Mr. Klein was at Enhance Financial Services, Inc.(now Radian), FGIC and at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ) as a senior banker in public finance. Mr. Klein received a J.D. from Boston University, a Masters in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a B.A. from Haverford College.
