About Steven Leong

I am a purpose-driven professional with experience in fund development, HR consulting and career management. My dedication to philanthropy and community engagement has been a cornerstone of my career. I founded a not-for-profit with the mission to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and suicide. Through my philanthropy work, I have received national recognition including being named a National Recipient of CAMH Difference Makers - 150 Leading Canadians for Mental Health. While in HR consulting and career management, I assisted organizations in developing strategies to engage their employees, foster positive workplaces, and build robust talent development programs. I also empowered professionals to market themselves effectively to employers and articulate their value in the marketplace. In my B2B sales and account management roles I helped companies increase revenue, retain customers and build strategic partnerships by making authentic and genuine connections with clients. A significant aspect of my career has been building strong relationships with stakeholders, including some of Canada’s top employers and top talent. My engagement with stakeholders has created opportunities for professionals to make meaningful connections with employers and receive valuable feedback on developing their careers. My experience is unique because I have engaged with business leaders and employees. I understand the challenges employers face and the challenges of their top talent. I leverage my strong communication and trust-building skills to help companies grow by aligning organizational goals with employee aspirations, ensuring both parties achieve success. When I'm not fundraising and helping organizations grow, you can find me exploring the beautiful Rocky Mountains with my family. If I'm not hiking, cycling, skiing or camping I'm planning my next adventure.
