About Steven Libbrecht

In his position as the Director Operations and PMO, Steven has established the Brussels office and headquarters of the Hydrogen Council organising the support to the membership and governance processes, the operational processes (admin, finance, legal, ICT, HR, comms, event organisation) as well as the support to the Council's various projects and initiatives. With a compact, high-performing team and our rich, diverse and high-level membership base, we are steadily working to help shape the global hydrogen economy and society. Over the years, Steven has become an expert in strategy, innovation and stakeholder engagement processes. In these areas, he has been offering services to help customers with their strategic reflection processes (such as scenario planning), in reinforcing their innovation capabilities, and in bridging the gap from research to economic impact. He has a +20-year long track record of designing and facilitating participatory group processes in a variety of settings including in high-level multicultural contexts and on complex or highly technical topics. He knows how to bring structure and methodology, how to motivate people, forge high-performing teams and work steadily towards ambitious targets.
