I've saved over $1.2M in a single change orders, and an average of over $2.0M a year by fixing contract loopholes, questioning invoices, and driving transparency in day-to-day operations. Each department I have worked for I have worked as a thought leader to identify processes that could be improved and bring forth new ideas to save my company time and money. I have an entrepreneurial mindset and can think outside of the box, and I do not shy away from confrontation. I am an expert in holding utility subcontractor partners accountable with costs and safety. I always go above and beyond my job responsibilities to get the jobs done and make things better for everyone. With schooling in civil engineering, hands on construction experience and 10 years of my career in construction management, I possess a unique ability to work and relate to all stakeholders to complete large projects and maintenance work in the utility space. Most of my career I have managed an average budget of $30MM a year in capital and expense improvement projects and maintenance work for PG & E in both dense urban areas and rural wilderness. On most projects, I am the only PG & E employee onsite responsible for coordination between contractor, engineering, environmental, government agencies, permitting teams, contracts, inspection, etc. The work I do requires strong communications skills and the ability to create consensus among all parties to complete the work. I am involved in the projects from the planning and engineering phases all the way through the final walkdown and work completion and submission of as-builts.
