About Steven Marshall

Hi there! My name is Steven Marshall. I recently moved to Victoria after graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Ottawa. Through this degree, I gained a strong theoretical foundation through courses such as anatomy, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, and many others. This has led for me to not only have a strong understanding of the field in general, but I have also learned effective skills in knowing which resources to utilize in order to further research areas that I am unfamiliar with. Through this degree, I also had the opportunity to spend over 3 years in different laboratory settings doing research and honing my practical laboratory skills. In my free time, I have continued my learning though the development of an intermediate proficiency in numerous programming languages, including C, C#, Python, HTML, CSS, SQL, Shell, and JavaScript, as well as mastering important programs such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook). Through this, I have become skilled at learning and utilizing computer programs, as well as developing my own programs when needed. Now that I have completed my degree, I am looking forward to applying my passion and experience for the sciences to a full-time position within or near the city of Victoria, British Columbia.
