About Steven McGill

As a University of Guelph graduate, I have completed the B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering program with a specialization in Sustainable Energy. This program has increased my engineering knowledge, organization skills, and teamwork skills by giving me the opportunity to complete various engineering design projects as well as introductory courses in multiple other fundamental fields of study such as statistics and computer programming. Designing and producing fiber optic products at Fiber Connections has introduced me to an industry that is the present and future of communication. It has been a fantastic opportunity and I cannot wait to experience the rapid advancement of the fiber world. When I'm not working or spending time with family and friends, I spend most of my time playing or learning about soccer or playing video games. Through all of this, my passion is learning about anything and everything and I'll do any trivia I can get my hands on. While I've always had a passion for providing STEM based education, my true calling lies in the application of the sciences that I've always loved to learn.
