About Steven Mesa

Good day, my name is Steven Mesa and I would like to take this time to tell you a little bit about myself. I was pretty much born around the construction industry and have been around heavy equipment most of my life. My father and 2 older brothers were all equipment operators and I started working with them at the age of 17 at a company named Eberly Materials Inc. in Donna Tx. I spend 10 years there and learned everything from the ground up. I started as a laborer and little by little worked my way up to being able to operate a blade/grader. I have 2 degrees from the University of Texas at Brownsville "now UTRGV". I achieved them both while still working as a machine operator. I worked for the State of Texas for about 3.5 years after I graduated. I decided that the field of work I was in was not something that I would want to do for the rest of my life. I decided to get back into the construction field and that is where I have been ever since. I've worked for Bay ltd. out of Corpus Christi under the highway division. I worked at Foremost Paving Inc out of Elsa Tx when they were working on the border wall. I know how to run robotics and I put that skill into use when I was working at the border wall. I ran a spider concrete pump that was used to make the actual walls to the concrete portions of the border fence. I then went to Texas Disposal Systems where I ran multiple machines including, Motor Graders, Front end loaders, Dozers and Articulated Trucks for almost 3 years. I just didn't feel that this was the place for me so in the end, I kept looking for something more. That is when Boom & Bucket came into the picture. Now I am excited to be a part of a team that cares and am glad I get the chance to work for a great company. Boom & Bucket is trying to innovate an area of the industry which has pretty much remained the same for decades. I am proud to be a part of that movement and look forward to anything new that comes our way.
