Background
About Steven Murray
I've had a passion for understanding the Universe through mathematics for my entire conscious life. I'm now fortunate to be part of a large effort to uncover the signature of the very first stars and galaxies in the ubiquitous primordial hydrogen. My part to play involves developing both the mathematical/statistical and computational tools required for this enormously challenging project. I develop Bayesian statistical inference models, tame multi-dimensional integrals, write Python programs that scientists can use, and I once even created a Django web-application that computes the number of dark matter halos in the Universe.
