Chair, Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department, McLaughlin & Stern Director - Bankruptcy Bar Association, Southern District of Florida. Now serving my third three-year term. Appointed Lay-Chair-Pro Bono Bankruptcy Committee for the Southern District of Florida Appointed by Chief Judge Laurel M. Isicoff to Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee, U.S. Southern District of Florida, May 2019. I have served as faculty to the Florida Conference of Circuit Court Judges, lecturing primarily on the effect of the automatic stay on pending state court proceedings, principles of concurrent jurisdiction and problem-solving. I also conduct judicial education seminars for the 15th Judicial Circuit of Florida in conjunction with the Honorable Mindy A. Mora, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Florida. I continue to author bankruptcy chapters in various Florida Bar treatises which concern the effect of bankruptcy filings. I am honored to serve on both the Local Rules Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Florida and the Court’s Standing Pro Bono Committee where I serve as Lay-Chair alongside the Chairs, Chief Judge Laurel M. Isicoff and Judge Mindy A. Mora. I am serving my third, three-year term as Director of the West Palm Beach Division of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida-Specialized knowledge in wholesale energy supply. Recently represented Great Eastern Energy, et.al, a energy supplier for the Northeastern U.S. in chapter 11 proceedings in Delaware as Debtors' lead counsel. Successfully auctioned almost in renewable energy credits and their forward contracts. Achieved 99.9% collateral returns/standby LC's for the secured creditors and guided the Debtor through a bifurcated failed-sale of OBC to realize maximum return for the secured creditors using pure liquidation protocols and creative solutions. Management of significant regulatory issues and -Representation of secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy litigation.
