About Steven Peard

I am committed to supporting individuals experiencing mental health and addictions related concerns to access the supports and services they need. As a Registered Social Worker at Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre Society, I work within a complex care team in health services to provide holistic and trauma-informed care to clients from diverse backgrounds and situations. I have a Bachelor of Social Work degree and am a Registered Social Worker with the ACSW. I am also certified in First Aid, The Working Mind, and First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse. Additionally, I am honoured to call myself a certified grief coach, allowing me to walk alongside individuals navigating difficult waters and hold space for their journeys with dignity and care. I leverage my knowledge from the arts and business sectors, where I worked for over ten years as a theatre and film practitioner and a banking support specialist, to bring creativity, empathy, and problem-solving skills to my work. I am passionate about helping others and giving back to the world, and I strive to promote not only survival and healing, but thriving and growth for myself and the people I serve.
