Being the director I am responsible for the care, positioning and exploitation of the Levenseindekliniek (End of life clinic). This organisation was established at March 01, 2012 to help persons with a request for euthanasia that meets the legal criteria but cannot be performed by their own doctor. In five years the organisation has grown to the center of expertise on euthanasia of the Netherlands. It consists of 60 teams (each constisting of one doctor plus one nurse) that investigate requests for help and when it meets the legal criteria they perform euthanasia.
