Addiction services and mental health agencies and organizations face multiple challenges in today's rapidly changing environment, including managed care, value-based payments, funding sources, care coordination, and systems integration. In addition, there are currently opportunities for those wishing to enter as service providers as well as those existing providers who wish to grow or expand their services with the right guidance and advice. there are many new funding streams available, and the impact of the pandemic has only increased the need for behavioral health services. My thirty years at OASAS (the NY State Office of Addiction Services and Supports), and particularly the last 12 years when I served as Director of Downstate Field Operations, has provided me with the expertise to help my clients understand and navigate these choppy waters. I am available to assist with projects of all sizes and scopes related to addiction, mental health and supportive housing services and partner with consulting colleagues with a wide range of skills as needed.
