About Steven Richardson

I am experienced in improving and changing lives, supporting both young people and adults through various roles, both in the public and private sector, the latter where I helped set up, run and deliver a new government back-to-work initiative in Manchester in a target driven environment. I am also a qualified teacher and have worked abroad in France, Spain and Portugal for several years as a teacher, as well as in the UK where I specialised in teaching languages both in schools and colleges. Furthermore, I have worked as a Careers Advisor and I am fully qualified at Level 6 in Advice and Guidance. Other roles include personal and welfare support such as safeguarding, welfare advice, guidance and advocacy and helping people to secure employment and apprenticeships. As part of this I have also supported people with problems such as mental health, substance misuse, housing and debt along with other personal barriers. I have also helped to promote and market through devising and delivering presentations to a variety of audiences and in various settings. I am truly dedicated to making change and, though a cliche, I believe we all have unlocked potential - but we need inspiration and aspiration.
