About Steven Roy

In my current position of Maintenance Mechanic / HVAC Mechanic with the York Region District School Board, I have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people. I also have the chance to use my skills as a team player. I am highly motivated and like to get things done. I strive to always out do any previous performance. Communication is very important to me to keep everyone on the same page and well informed. In my current position, I have had the opportunity to gain important experience and knowledge around new construction and all aspects of building operations. I have experience with contractor meetings, deficiency audits, and building operations planning. I also have extensive knowledge of all aspects of hydronic systems, pneumatic systems, and cooling system and there repair. I have a high level of skill with computers and a strong mechanical aptitude. I have completed my Building Environmental Systems Class 1 & 2 degree from Seneca collage, and will be receiving the SMT BOMI certification, also I have received the Inter-provincial Facility Training Accreditation, the ENERGY TRAINING ONTARIO Certificate, Walkerton Operation of Small Drinking Water Systems Certificate, Pool Operators Certificate as well as my Gas 2. Continuing education is very import to me to further my skill set in this field. I have currently obtained my Gas 2 certification and am now working on getting my Gas 1. I am always eager to take training or learn new things.
