About Steven Saslow

A senior advisor at The Blackstone Group, Steven Saslow retired in 2007, after serving in multiple roles, including that of chief investment officer of the Blackstone Relative Value Fund and managing director of BAAM. Overseeing the relative value and macro hedge fund division for three years, he then joined the alternative asset management hedge fund solution group, during which time his duties included managing hedge fund investments in emerging markets, commodities, and fixed income, among many other areas. Steven Saslow also joined the investment committee responsible for managing hedge fund investment portfolios. Although retired, he remains a part of The Blackstone Group as a senior advisor. In this role, he mentors associates and analysts as well as provides educational seminars on Federal Reserve policies, options theory, and global capital markets. He also works with and monitors hedge funds that Blackstone has relationships. In addition he serves as a senior advisor to the CEO of Spaces Inc, a rapidly growing technology company in the parking industry and is an Advisory Board Member of the Rutgers University Business School. With more time on his hands, Mr. Saslow now spends his days supporting the arts. A regular contributor to the Metropolitan Museum, he also donates to the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum. Mr. Saslow is also an avid traveler who enjoys visiting Europe when the opportunity arises. His favorite cities to explore are Barcelona and Santa Monica.
