About Steven Scarr

I am a can-do creative person who loves a challenge, a UK Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) registered paramedic with more than 22 years experience and an exemplary work record / ethic. I am also an HSE registered offshore / remote medic, Flight Medic and TV and Film Medic. I also have 5 years previous experience in The Household Cavalry Life Guard Regiment in the British Army. My current role as a Clinical Supervisor allows me to manage incidents, staff and operations whilst also providing pre-hospital care and Advanced Life Support, triaging severely ill and critically injured patients as a Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) NHS Trust Team Leader. By previously holding the position of Clinical Team Educator for YAS I am very experienced at assessing, appraising, providing equipment familiarisation, mentorship and support to both new and existing Paramedics. The skills and knowledge gained within York University level 6 modules in Minor Illness / Minor Injuries and Care of the acutely Ill Adult have been in constant use whilst providing both routine medical cover and 'stunts' ambulance cover for the TV and Film industry. As a flight medic I am responsible for global medical repatriations escorting patients and providing medical assistance when required. I have also completed all necessary safety training with Petrofac including Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST), Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET), Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) and Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS). I have already re-located to Lombok island in Indonesia and am currently seeking employment within the offshore or remote field of pre-hospital care.
