About Steven Spinner
During my junior year, I took a Malware Reverse Engineering course in which I learned how to reverse engineer malware. The semester after that, I began to get involved in the University of Florida Student InfoSec Team, the security club at UF. In this club, I learned more reverse engineering techniques and began learning about binary exploitation. Since the fall semester of my senior year, I have participated in many Capture the Flag competitions, where I have been able to help the club's team solve several challenges, mainly in the reverse engineering and binary exploitation challenges. As I participated in more of these competitions, I was able to learn more about different ways to turn bugs into code execution. Some of the challenges included bypassing anti-exploitation techniques such as ASLR, NX, PIE, stack canary, and RELRO.
