About Steven Stanton

I began my journey working with technology in the early after working as an EMT for a security company for several years. In those early years, I worked in many facets of IT from on-site technician to help desk phone support. I believe this has given me a unique insight into the systems I am designing because of my experience in so many roles.However, the last 16+ years of career have focused on what I love most, developing software. After working as a freelance programmer for 10 years, I hired on as a full time Lead Developer with Smart Sales and Lease. During my time with Smart Sales and Lease, I have shifted the company to a more reliable cloud based architecture with AWS while cutting IT expenditures by over 65%. After a year with the company, they promoted me to head up the IT department with the official title of IT Project Manager.I love working at a small company where I feel I really make an impact. While my team has been small, we have still been able to quickly design, develop, and deploy complex technical solutions to meet the company’s goals.I regularly work with stakeholders, clients, and our own staff to ensure we are meeting their needs. I still regularly get my hands dirty and am often problem solving and coding throughout the day.
