About Steven Sutton

As the Director of HR for Multnomah County Health Department, the largest county in Oregon, I bring over a decade of experience leading and developing diverse teams in the field of Human Resources. With a team of over 30 employees in the HR program, I have a proven track record of effective leadership and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with managing a large workforce. My background as a licensed clinical social worker also makes me an excellent communicator, listener, and critical thinker, which allows me to effectively navigate the complex and dynamic environment of a healthcare organization. I am passionate about building positive and productive work cultures, and I am constantly seeking new ways to improve the employee experience. My goal is to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their best.
