About Steven Swerhun

As a CPA, and having 14 years of experience with my current employer, I possess the skills to analyze financial statements and motivate a team to produce accurate, thorough, and timely results. I also earned an MS in Finance, and a Data Science certificate, which uniquely qualifies me to understand the dynamics of our IT driven society and the necessity of proper accounting controls and reporting within that environment. Being valued as a decision partner by my company, I provide the analysis, data sourcing, research and financial modeling which contribute to the ever evolving nature of business in our digital age. Some highlights of my background are the following:* Monitor and analyze fee structures and margins to catch EDI errors, saving the company over 200k in one instance alone.* Maintain cross-departmental relationships to streamline data flow and develop continuous-improvement solutions throughout the organization, which saved approximately 30k in labor costs.* Analyze account data during reconciliations and partner with outside auditors for financial statement reviews.* Proficiency with MS Office products, such as Excel and Word, along with Oracle / JD Edwards accounting software.I also play a key role in refining revenue models and reports that directly support profitability. Visibility into revenue, expenses, and functional operations are key to guide better decision-making by company management. As a result, I know I would be a great asset to your organization.
