About Steven Thompson

Steve's practice is concentrated in property insurance related litigation throughout the Midwest as well as general liability defense and insurance coverage matters. He specializes in subrogation litigation for various national insurance companies as well as coverage investigation and analysis. Steve has tried numerous bench and jury trials to verdict. Steve was formerly employed by Kemper Insurance as a Boiler and Machinery claims examiner responsible for first party claims within a 12 state territory. He subsequently joined Protection Mutual Insurance Company as a home office underwriter in charge of home office referrals and major account underwriting. Steve then served as regional underwriting manager responsible for a portfolio of Fortune accounts prior to becoming associated with the predecessor law firm of William J. Sneckenberg & Associates in 1994. Steve became a named partner with the current firm of Sneckenberg, Thompson & Brody, LLP in He is a frequent lecturer at seminars in the legal and insurance industries and a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals and other legal Associations. Steve holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri and received his law degree, with honors, from The John Marshall Law School.
