About Steven Tuchner

CEO of Triumph, an investment management firm dedicated to generate returns by owning a small number of high quality, reasonably valued public companies. I’d rather own a great company at a fair price then a fair company at a great price. Mr. Tuchner began his career as a Research Associate at CIBC World Markets in 1991, covering both the gold & precious metals and the consumer products sectors. Mr. Tuchner then joined First Marathon Securities Ltd. as an Institutional Equity Salesperson. He was appointed Head of Institutional Equity Sales at National Bank Financial (successor to First Marathon) and later became Head of Institutional Equity Trading. Mr. Tuchner was also a founding partner and Managing Director of Equity Capital Markets at Westwind Partners Inc. In 2004, Mr. Tuchner started Triumph as CEO, a position he has held for 20 years. Mr. Tuchner is a Chartered Accountant. He holds a CIM designation, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) from the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Tuchner formerly sat on the Resources Committee of the Mount Sinai Hospital, the Board of Governors at the Sterling Hall School and is a member of the UCC Association Council.
