About Steven Walker

I am a Project Manager and Environmental Planner at Narratives Inc. I have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Manitoba with a major in wildlife management and a minor in Geography. My background is in community led research initiatives including studies of hydroelectric development and its effects on fish and aquatic ecosystems. It was through this work that I have fostered an interest in the complimentary relationship between Traditional Knowledge and western science. I have demonstrated skills in community engagement, community-based monitoring, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and technical report writing. I am committed to learning more about Harmonized Impact Assessment, and how I can better support efforts towards reconciliation through this lens. I love outdoor adventure and spends much of my free time whitewater kayaking on rivers throughout Manitoba and beyond.
