About Steven Yee

Currently tutoring STEM, for students of all ages. Recently consulting with a number of small start-ups in a variety of roles. Previously architecting and developing potential heterogeneous cloud storage services, including developing/prototyping potential cloud based product/services as orthogonal revenue streams to the existing core business. Other work included licensing, manageability and supportability software for storage based systems. I normally work as a Technical Program Manager/project lead in cross functional teams. I am well versed in team building and mentoring as well as program managing cross-functional extended teams. I enjoy interviewing, hiring, and (cross) training new team members and have a great interest in mentoring employees over their career. As a sidelight I used to manage the lab and budget (~$2M/year) for my group as well as tracking and analyzing cloud expenditures for ongoing projects. Specialties: Program/project technical leadership and architecture, operational expertise as applied to cloud, support, and manageability scenarios. Lab capital budget planning and ordering, as well as cloud budget analysis. Facilities coordination, lab build-outs, and site security management.
