Experienced Senior Brand Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. Skilled in Brand and Marketing Management, Consumer Products, Negotiation, Coaching, and Sales. Strong sales professional with a BCOM Honours focused in Management from University of Otago. I help supermarkets delight their customers. Most recently I was brand manager at Farmland Foods. There’s a small marketing team, so I was across everything from brand look and feel, to social media marketing, trade marketing, internal comms, and packaging design. I even know about packaging regulations and recycling. A couple of years into my tenure at Farmland Foods I championed a brand refresh. It was a big project. We brought together all our different products across the three supermarket categories we serve, under a single consistent brand image and message. Now it’s easy for supermarket customers to identify our products across butchery, deli, and chiller cabinets. Before, we had a myriad of disparate sub-brands that weren’t visually related. Our redesign was recognised with a finalist nomination for the Best Design Awards 2022. It’s been a joy to work for global brands and family businesses. I grew up working in a family business. My family owned Chinese takeaways and restaurants. As soon as I was tall enough to reach the till I was in there, and that's where I honed my customer service skills along with my (fairly fluent) Cantonese. I learned everything had to benefit my customer. When I started working in marketing I used sales skills in other areas, from communicating with my colleagues to the story we tell the end shopper.
