As a Short Breaks Support Assistant at Aiming High, I assist in delivering a comprehensive programme of activities that reflects the needs of disabled children and young people and their families. I support the delivery of evening and weekend sessions in various community settings throughout the borough, ensuring that the participants are fully supported and engaged. I am also an independent advocate for children at NYAS, where I help them express their views and wishes, and protect their rights and interests. I have strong communication and organisation skills, and I seek solutions to problems by applying my extensive analytical knowledge. I am driven to deliver high-quality service and consistent results, and I enjoy working with diverse and challenging groups. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree at Liverpool John Moores University, with a focus on Early Childhood Education and Teaching. I am passionate about learning new skills and methods to improve my practice and enhance the learning outcomes of my students. I have a solid understanding of curriculum development and implementation, and I use Nearpod as a tool to create interactive and engaging lessons. I am also a qualified dental nurse, and I have experience in school management and mentoring.
