I recently retired from the law enforcement profession, having amassed a thirty year career which also included dignitary protection, security, security management, safety and safety management. The bulk of my career was with the Nevada Highway Patrol where, as a Senior State Trooper, I achieved 20 years of service and obtained a retired DPS/State of Nevada Identification Card, which recognized my service (in “good standing”)with its issuance. Additionally, I have served at three different law enforcement agencies as their respective leaders (Sheriff of a county and two Federal Tribal Police Departments) and I have also served as the Union President, Acting President, Vice President and Regional Director of the Nevada Highway Patrol Association where I was very active, and knowledgeable, in regards to Nevada’s Peace Officer Bill of Rights (NRS Chapter 289), Labor Laws (both Federal and State), Grievance Procedures (Federal and State), Hostile Working Environments (Federal and State), Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Laws (Federal and State)and other personnel matters that pertain to the application and potential violations of the Nevada Revised Statutes and the Nevada Administrative Codes. During my tenures, I have managed many personnel matters of staff under my supervision, managed budgets,fleets and equipment issues. I have been involved in coordinated efforts, between allied law enforcement agencies, regarding matters of public safety and concern. I have also volunteered and spoken at civic events. My outgoing personality allows me to work well with others, whether it is on a personal or professional level, and I enjoy taking on many tasks, goals and objectives for the benefits of others and organizations. I have lived in the state of Nevada from 1974 until present day. I attended, and graduated, from Earl Wooster High School as well as attended, and graduated, from the University of Nevada-Reno where I received a Bachelor’s Degree,in the College of Arts and Science, with my major being that in the field of Criminal Justice. I have moved from Reno to Willits, California Despite the fact I have entered my sixth decade of life, I maintain a vigorous and challenging workout regimen that brings a very positive and energetic aspect to who I truly am. There is no job that is below me.
