About Stijn Bouckaert

Like everybody else, I’ve had ups and downs. It took me a long way to get where I am today. Now that I know what I want to do, I’m ready to share it with the world. I grew up in a little village called Kieldrecht. When you live in the countryside, it’s up to you to create your adventures. Since I was thirteen years old, I’ve always had the urge to create things. I started making videos on YouTube in 2013, and I have never quit writing scripts ever since. When I was sixteen, I figured out how to make games myself. It was a new experience that sparked my creativity. I started working on my first game in 2015 with my best friend. Up to this day, we’re still coming up with new ideas. Our latest game is Greg's Mess, a game we created for Brackey's Game Jam 2021.1 Right now, I’m mainly focusing on graphic design and backend development. I like to challenge myself from time to time, working on projects I created myself. I want to build a strong portfolio when I graduate this year. Interactive Multimedia Design is a big motivation. It taught me that failure isn’t always a bad thing. Looking at the future, I would like to work in a medium-sized company. An environment where I can learn new things and grow as a developer. On the side, I’d love to run my own company that focuses on graphic design. This would combine my two passions, development and graphic design.
