Background
About Stijn Postema
My research and teaching is focused on truth practices in media work, with specific interest in the cross section of journalism and other disciplines, such as arts, humanitarian and legal work, and communication practices. Currently I am working on the NWO-funded research 'journalism as artistic practice' at University of Amsterdam and Ede Christian University of Applied Sciences (CHE). In my work as teacher and head tutor my prime objective is to give space for talent to flourish, and where possible facilitate research and connect practical education and craftmanship to student and academic research. Specialities: Artistic Journalism, the role of emotions in news media practices, and media education and training with specific focus on investigative journalism, innovation practices, storytelling, research methodologies, and media ethics.
