About Sting Roefs

I am a proactive engineer that takes the initiative to get the technical problem solved. This started at a young age. I have always been interested in technical stuff and love to build things. After I finished High School (VWO) I decided to further develop my passion for technology in a more practical way with the bachelor mechanical engineering. Already during my studies, I started working as support engineer for an assembly unit at Bosch Rexroth. In my current job as ‘Volume and Install Support’ engineer at ASML I am responsible for delivering technical support that contributes to rapid solutions of complex technical issues. Troubleshooting these technical problems is one of my main tasks together with delivering support during machine install and upgrades in the field. It satisfies me to find a structural solution for these complicated problems. Therefore, I approach these complicated problems from a qualitative and manufacturability perspective. Additionally, I find it very important to behave flexible and pro-active since you always have to solve such technical complicated problems together with the team. In my next role I would like to be the technical bridge builder and combine theory with manufacturability in a practical context. I also want to stay closely related to the tangible manufacturing environment. I look forward to combine my human and technical skills within a technical company and help the company reach world-class manufacturing.
