About Stojancho Georgiev

I am a professional sound designer and studio owner based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, specializing in creating immersive audio experiences for various mediums, including cinema, documentaries, short films, animation, gaming, commercial media, and sonic branding. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to receive recognition through multiple industry awards. Notably, I was honored with the Vesna Award for Best Sound for the movie "Circus Fantasticus"(2011), directed by Janez Burger and produced by Stara Gara - Slovenia. In this project, I made significant contributions to the film's exceptional audio experience through my work in recording and editing Foley. I received a Special Jury Mention award for the movie "Ameba"(2021), directed by Blaž Završnik and produced by Bandera Film. Additionally, the Animation Borbike was recorded in 2022 and directed by Nika Jurman won a Vesna Award for Best Animation Movie in 2023 It was a rewarding experience to handle complete audio post-production for this remarkable film. Furthermore, the commercial for Apetit, directed by the renowned Mikko Lehtinen, won the Bronze Award at the Finnish Commercial Film Competition - Viotto (2023), allowing me to showcase my sound design skills. Approaching sound design as storytelling, I strive to craft immersive audio landscapes that enhance narratives and evoke emotions. Collaboration plays a central role in my work.
