About Strini Perumal

Vincenzo Perugia coveted and stole the Mona Lisa, and then hid it under his bed for 2 years. I'm sure if you asked him why he did it - it would be for the dazzling incomprehension of what it means to be alive. We are all haunted by the need to find a way to bear our mortality; a great artist like a great thief possess an elemental longing for craftmanship and creativity. One that aims to go a little further into water that makes you feel uncomfortable, at a depth where you don't feel your feet touch the ground. Over the course of my life, I've tried to do things outside my depth, from sudoku to salsa, polo to the bagpipes. I have found meaning in simple geometric proofs which I solved at school and I'm still awestruck by polyphonic ringtones. I'm inspired by those who find obsession in their craft and who bring creativity to life - those who take pleasure in solving difficult problems and who boldly venture into new waters. I'm Strini and I'm on a journey of finding new depths.
