Stuart Burgess, MD, FACS, FASRS is a Vitreo-Retinal Specialist and surgeon. He is a partner of Fort Lauderdale Eye Institute / Fort Lauderdale Retina Institute and a founding partner and board member of Eye Physicians of Florida. He has particular interests in age related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy as well as small gauge retinal surgery. In addition to his clinical role, he is also the Director of Clinical Research at Fort Lauderdale Eye Institute and in this role has been principal investigator in over 30 clinical trials. Dr. Burgess is also involved in teaching the next generation of physicians and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Kiran C.
