Experienced Technical Team Lead with a long history of leading successful teams delivering complex technical solutions in the IT and Financial Services sectors. I am currently providing Technical Leadership to a distributed off-shore Java development team who are responsible for a large number of on-premise and AWS applications used by all Ocado employees. My previous role was leading an off-shore Java development team utilising SnapLogic and Big Data technologies, to create a new product publishing complex financial information to the Semantic Web. I have spent most of my career leading & managing Java and Oracle development teams, delivering front and back end solutions across IT Services, Insurance and Blue Chip Financial services businesses. Throughout my career I have always retained a hands on technical aspect to my roles, to ensure that I stay up to date with technology and so that I have a good understanding of the issues that my teams have faced. I also have great experience in large scale IT governance, having spent 6 years defining and then enforcing new standards for the modelling and publication of data within the business. This was a key part of a change program that enhanced the organisation's ability to generate significant extra revenue from existing content.
