About Stuart Fairley

As the HSE Manager in West Africa at Perseus Mining Limited, I am responsible for overseeing the health, safety, community and environment aspects of the company's mining operations in the region. A big part of my role is to transition it in to a national role by guiding, educating and coaching the best HSE talent to secure the HSE future on our site in the Ivory Coast. I have more than 18 years of experience in the mining, civil, quarry, and infrastructure sectors, with a proven track record of delivering high standards of HSE performance and compliance. My core competencies include negotiation, coaching, strategic HSE business planning, risk, workplace health monitoring and safe production of HME. I have a hands-on approach in operations, with a 'at the coal face' attitude and a strong focus on risk management and continuous improvement. My mission is to foster a culture of HSE excellence and sustainability within Perseus Mining and the communities we operate in.
