Currently seeking a position that will challenge him to learn new things, while utilizing his wealth of experience.** Stu is a no-nonsense, analytical professional with more than fifteen years as an information technology specialist. He is an out of the box thinker, innovative beyond existing practices and mindsets whose strengths include his decision-making and leadership skills and willingness to learn. His motivation is the sense of accomplishment that comes with a job well-done. Many say that Stu has a commanding presence, but it isn’t just his stature or voice. It is his confidence in all that he does, the work ethic instilled during his 20 years of military service, and independence gained while traveling with the Marine Corps as a child. Stu gives every task his best efforts. He willingly helps co-workers, shares knowledge and looks to grow as an employee and a person. Stu is an experienced supervisor, having led crew members in the Air Force and running help desks for government contracts for NMCI and NWDC. His last three years in the military were spent as the LAN Administrator of the 1st EMS, where he was responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of 800+ workstations across 15 separate locations. Since transitioning to the civilian sector, Stu has continued to expand his skills, obtaining an A+ certification, completing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, and undertaking coursework for Security+ and Network+ certifications. Understanding life requires balance between work and family, Stu enjoys spending time with his wife and son, having taken an active role in his son's activities over the years by serving as a soccer coach, then scouting den leader and, eventually, Scoutmaster. Additionally, Stu and his family have worked to promote diversity in their community by sharing their home with 10 young people from 9 different countries around the world.
