About Stuart Foster

I work well within a team and am a valuable addition to every team I have been a part of. I am always looking to improve myself and where possible to help those around me. I enjoy taking a leadership role in whatever avenue of life I find myself but am just as comfortable following the lead of those appointed over me. Within all my previous roles where I have had staff reporting to me, I have nurtured and encouraged them and have been a positive influence in helping them to achieve their personal and professional development. I work well under pressure and am driven to adhere to deadlines. I believe that open and clear communication is an integral part of the successful completion of any project or job role. I know that this is a key part of every financial discussion and more so when dealing with “non-financial” people. My work philosophy is to try to ensure that I am accurate and informed about the information I produce. I take this very seriously as in the role of a financial leader for any company, attention to detail is a key attribute. I try to balance this with providing information in a timeous fashion. When managing a team, whether large or small, I try to get to know the personalities of the people working with me. In this way I find I can get the best out of them by understanding what their individual needs and motivating factors are. I have been a part of a number of system implementations and migrations and this has given me a good insight into how various systems and processes work. I have been part of successful as well as unsuccessful teams and this has meant that I have learnt how to recognise potential pitfalls and problems within these systems. I believe that this has given me an advantage when it comes to existing systems and business practices as it means that I can analyse them and potentially find ways to streamline them.
