30+ years’ experience specialising in offshore & onshore maintenance planning & supervision has afforded me a strong understanding of the relationship between safety, people management, production, asset integrity & performance. I am currently working with Occidental in Qatar. I manage large multi-disciplined projects involving teams of 100+ mechanical, electrical & process technical specialists. I also liaise with the Operations, Safety, Finance & Logistics teams offshore & offshore to plan & safely execute major, concurrent & multi-site campaigns in a workable timeframe & budget. I have regularly deputised for the Head of Maintenance & Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) & hold a multitude of industry qualifications & certifications (e.g. OPITO OIM Controlling Major Emergencies, BOSIET Offshore Survival etc…) BACKGROUND In 2002 I left the Royal Navy as an Engineering Technician (Weapons Engineering) seeking fresh challenges in a new environment. This led me to the gain experience in the petrochemical, CCGT power generation, pharmaceutical, steelworks & nuclear sectors.
