I enjoy handling complex legal issues to meet client needs and mitigate risk. My practice involves commercial transactions and contracts, including real estate, financial institutions, and corporate matters. I'm passionate about diversity and inclusiveness, and am currently Co-Chair of Kutak Rock’s Well-Being Initiative and a member and past Co-Chair of its National Inclusiveness and Diversity Committee.I have extensive experience with real estate matters, having represented large and small businesses in billions of dollars’ worth of acquisitions, leases, easements, developments, and other matters. I often manage teams of attorneys on portfolio work for securitizations and other secured finance transactions for numerous commercial and multifamily projects across the country. I've also gained substantial land use and compliance experience by handling projects involving thousands of operating locations for a Fortune 500 client. Additionally, I've represented healthcare clients in the acquisition and disposition of healthcare and administrative facilities. I have ample experience assisting financial institutions and other lenders. My banking and lending experience includes operational and transactional matters (e.g, real estate and other asset-backed commercial loans, workouts, deeds-in-lieu, treasury management services, financial services, customer service agreements, and vendor management). My experience further provided me the opportunity to twice serve as seconded in-house counsel to a Fortune 100 client. I served as the client's primary legal contact for its US locations’ day-to-day facilities and realty matters and then as legal support for its wholesale division. This experience provided me a valuable “inside-out” perspective of meeting my client's needs while addressing its internal processes, financial objectives, and legal risk.Other aspects of my practice involve many different kinds of commercial agreements (such as supplier, licensing, sales, service, confidentiality, and other agreements). I enjoy learning about my clients’ businesses and formulating and implementing novel legal solutions for their emerging business issues and strategies.I'm admitted to practice in Arkansas state and federal courts. I received my J.D. with honors from the University of Arkansas and served as Associate Editor of the Arkansas Law Review. I received my B.B.A. with honors from the University of Central Arkansas, majoring in management information systems and serving as President of the student chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery.
