Worked in Engineering and with all types of plant prior to Fire and Rescue Service. ONC Cert Engineering Preston Poly Engineering. Various Plant Quals. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service since 1988, up to 2020. Trained for and entered into the Lancs Isar Team in to become Sector Medic with Lancs Isar Team (International Search and Rescue). Medical Secondment to Cape Town South Africa with medical training Nationally. Teaching Rescue Ropework in Tajikistan for the Aga Khan foundation with thir local Emergency Teams. Have Attended Training Courses and Exercises in Texas, Charlotte North Carolina, Sicily and Sweden. Deployed to Algiers, Pakistan and Haiti. Assisted with the deployment to India, Mozambique and Japan. Attended numerous Training events and exercises throughout the country Was part of the support and maintenance of the United Kingdom Medical Field Hospital through UK Aid. Member of Usar Lancs since inception into Lancashire 2006 attaining all the necessary skills and instructional Quals to move forward with this Unit. USAR /Opps Crew Bamber Bridge April 2015. Active part of introduction of National Road Safety program 'Wasted Lives' along with Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety. Have attained some outdoor instructional qualifications to allow me to work with children and youths.
